Amber Lewis taught for several years before returning to computer science in New York City. She talks about what drew her back to code and why CodePath’s approach to getting students building resonated with her.
My name is Amber Lois I live in New York City and I’m studying computer science I wanted to become a teacher and educator and I did do that for a few years but I felt like I really did like to code and I really love the message of CodePath trying to get CS students into coding to makeing projects to like be more comfortable in coding after being in this program after the tech taste after talking to my mentor and everybody I feel like the advice has been like really friendly they’ve been very knowledgeable on what they expect from just general work using my experience in teaching and now my experience in coding I would really love to combine the two for CodePath to really like encourage more students to come into this program because this program has been very helpful for me
