Highlights from the San Francisco leg of the 2025 Emerging Engineers Summit: students and engineers from across the industry on what they came for and what they took away.
Today we have the conference CodePath summit here in San Francisco. We have a lot of engineers coming from different companies giving presentations about the current work that they’re doing within the field and networking with a bunch of other students that are part of CodePath program. I feel like connecting is very important in today’s society.
So being able to meet new people and especially within the same field and interests as you can go a long way. I think it’s really cool how they’re bringing in people from the industry because I get to really connect with other people and I get to like talk and see different people which I can’t really access that without coath and like the ideas of becoming like an engineer aren’t feasible even if you come from a different background. I love being a co-ser because it gives me a lot of opportunities coming from underprivileged background and not having that kind of environment around me.
It gives a lot of influence and seeing the people that actually make it is very inspiring. I’m here to meet other Code Packers in person and connect with some of the partners that Codecraft path has and hear more about things like founding companies and also just what a career in tech has to offer and different things I can do to achieve my goals. It’s really different from the online courses that I have because I actually have someone to talk to and I can actually ask question during the lessons.
I learned from the index CESL and he said just step out of your comfort zone and then do your best then good thing will happen. You can do whatever it is that you want to do. If you want to go into being a founder, if you want to work at a top company, it’s basically your choice.
You just have to do the hard work and get into it. They’ve got your back and if you’re thinking about it, if you’ve heard about them, I would say do it. That’s all you have to do.
You just have to sign up and they’ve got you right from there. They’ve got you from day one and it’s great. I’m glad I’m here.
